Updates: Weather - Air Quality - Distance Changing Option
It looks like morning temperatures will range between 70 - 80 degrees on race day.
Runners: the distance you selected may work well if you are feeling in peak physical condition for the distance you selected and you are accustomed to running in heat and humidity. This is especially true for the longer distances (10M and 13.1).
However, if you are not comfortable with the distance you selected, or if you have ANY reservations about your physical condition, please consider selecting a shorter distance, or do this as a virtual event at a later date.
Please note that if you are running the Half Marathon at a 16 minute per mile pace or slower and you approach the 10 mile turn at 10:15 or after, your race will be converted to the 10 mile distance.
13.1 Shortcut Option: if you are registered for the half marathon and you feel like you want to shorten your race, go ahead and take the 10 Mile turn and you will get an official 10 Mile time. Please stop by the help desk after the race and let them know that you transferred to the 10 mile so that the results are correct.
Skaters: Because of the nature of your activity, heat and humidity do not impact you in the same way. Regardless, please pay attention to your conditions.
Air quality: Is improving and is now rated as "Moderate" according to the MNPCA.
Condition Alert System: We will communicate to you with a flag system involving one of the colors below. We will have a colored flag that indicates heat conditions at the water station at Randolph, at the start and in the medical vehicle on the course.
